How does it all work?
First, it is important to understand that you do not need an iPod or any other portable media player to subscribe to a podcast. The only requirements are a computer with an internet connection, a podcast client program (like iTunes), and a set of speakers or headphones.
One of the more popular podcast clients is Apple's iTunes. iTunes is a great media player, is free software, can handle podcast subscriptions, and is available for both Microsoft Windows and Mac OSX. To subscribe to our podcast using iTunes:
Install iTunes if you do not already have it. It can be downloaded from Apple's website.
Click here to open the podcast in iTunes.
Click the "Subscribe Free" button in iTunes.
Subscribing is easy as that. iTunes will download the sermon media files to your computer as they become available. You can then listen to the sermons on your computer or transfer them to an iPod or other protable media player to listen on the go!
If you do not use iTunes, there are many other programs for subscribing to the podcast. A couple of these options include Juice or Winamp. If you would like to find out more information about podcasting in general, see this Wikipedia article.
